I'm indifferent, but it feels as if the 6'1"-6'2" range is regarded as ideal nowadays. Which height would you regard as ideal (out of curiosity)?

Nice topic! I just posted it on the Soapbox for people to come answer here.
My opinion is that the ideal hight is 5'4"-5'11" for men and women combined.

Most actors seem to be within that range: Tom Cruise=5'7-5'8" Sly=5'9" Brad Pitt=5'11" Robert Downey Jr.=5'8" Leonardo Dicaprio=5'11.5" Mark Wahlberg=5'8" Johnny Depp=5'9" Dustin Hoffman=5'4.5" George Clooney=5'10" Jason Stratham=5'9" Tom Hardy=5'9"
It seems like a nice range to be.

Ellen DeGeneres says she's 5'8".
Tim Burton is like 5'11".
There are some short stars out there, too..
The actors you listed sound cool! Nice heights. I'm 5'4", normally.

Thanks, and here is Ellen's quote: "I'm five feet and eight inches soaking wet, but on television I look five feet six. I read that you shrink as you get older, so in 20 years I won't be visible on camera anymore".

Yea, a lotta girls are 5'5/5'6-ish, which is the ideal hight. My roommate, who was a redhead a year older who was homeschooled, thought she was tall at 5'7". She called herself flailing about. I think the best height for a younger female is 5'6", and I actually grew about 4 inches all in my mid and late 20s it seems. The mothers were crazy flailing about and lying that we girls stop growing at 11. I never thought about it so strongly until recently..
Athletes tend to be shorter. When I go to Disney, I get shorter. I go each week, tho. When I sleep enough, I am 5'4" easily. I mean, basketball players might be tall, but gymnasts aren't. Gymnastics is an elite and base sport. I thought recently someone thought that to do ballet you should also do gymnastics. I guess she wasn't worried about herself, shows how bad people in modern times really have it. They can be beat by any older person at anything to do with like looks, an all-encompassing sense of knowledge, or at least the guts to temporarily put on a front.
Ellen is a good hight. I know she meets all these boys who blasted up in hight rather than like around 5'8" themselves. Tim Burton is 5'11", and he seems to flail around.. he's a sit down person, too, tho, not like a boy today like most who are at least that hight. It really disgusts me, some people who are all showing off height and feel short at a couple or several inches above 6'. They probably aren't well-packed, like I am. I am not altogether a tiny person, but I do look a bit frail. My arms and hands are not bulgy because I was an artist and musician.. People are also learning to depreciate art and music.
My firm belief is you can be tall, you can be packed. I wanted to be packed more than tall, but recently I don't care as much, I just want to get taller cuz I'm 28 and no longer a baby.

You have a great height. Some athletes (NFL and MLB players) tend to be tall. It depends on the position as Running Back's, Cornerbacks, Wide Receivers (despite some), Safeties and Placekickers/Punters tend not to be. However, Quarterbacks (aside from Drew Brees who is 6'0.25" and Russell Wilson who is around 5'11"), Defensive Ends, Defensive Tackles (not as much), Tight Ends and Offensive Tackles tend to be above 6'2" (with Linebackers being between 6'0"-6'4" usually on average). They used to not be this tall in Football.

Wow, thanks! It just depends on how much sleep I get.
That's great you're into this. It's very impressive and also interesting.
Ballerinas are cute when small, true, for girls. It seems similar in gymnastics. It's good because they tend to have a full figure.

It seems similar in gymnastics. It's good because they tend to have a full figure. Most perceive my obsession with height as unusual, so thanks . Our heights are impacted throughout the day by gravity having a compacting effecting on our vertebraes/spines (it can be over an inch, or even half a centimeter as it varies per person) which causes us to shrink, but then we regain the height throughout our sleep (so less sleep would impact it). Perspective can also give one the illusion that others are taller than them (when they're not) if they're within 3-4 inches of their height (depending on how much height there is above their eyes). For example, a 6'0" guy might think that a 5'10" individual is taller than them (unless there's a mirror or if they're comparing eye level). Be proud of your height please.

It's strange I was able to go from 5'4 to 5'2.
It's hard to get enough sleep when you have weird things going on. I'd like to get more sleep so I can grow and reach 5'5 as my next goal. I've been a solid 5'4". I think that must be my real hight. Perhaps, eating more or better would also help.
There are a lotta guys over 6'0-ish. You're not too tall and not too short. If you want to get shorter, get busy. If you wanna be taller, I mean if you don't know, or whatever, you might consider what I tried, filling out more but not with fat, meat and muscle. I don't know why someone would be tall and small. I wanted to be well-built and taller than I am. I'm happy with 5'4. I hope that me trying to be shorter to be Tinkerbell temporarily didn't hurt.
