How do you feel about harry potter? There is a lot of racism (ethnocentrism) present in this series -- mudbloods, etc. How does this impact society? Will the next generation be consumed with inequalities?

I feel it sorta makes you lose hope when things get worse and as school comes to an end.. no one to really confide in, just weirdly worrying.
I like the thing @ Mudbloods. I have to say I don't really get it, though.

The idea of "mudbloods" is that muggle-born folk are inadequate or undeserving, and that they do not believe in the magical world. Voldemort and his followers try and clear out all of the mud bloods from the wizarding world to make it "pure" again (like an ethnic cleansing) it is an odd idea to introduce to children, as it is very deep. hope that helps, have a blessed afternoon

Sorry, I meant "belong" in the magical world; not believe. Although no one who isn't a witch or wizard would know of the magical world. Hermione, myself, is a great example, as both of my parents are muggles.

People pretend that people with parents, some aren't as good. There are technical things certain lines of people lack, but if you go back there is more lack of some thing in everyone. We must evolve.
I do believe in marrying your own race and ethnicity/ies while experiencing others. It's very important. Even if you are mixed, your kids won't be mixed further. It's a good thing and brings strength to people's heritage. It balances it off and makes them capable of believing certain things about life and themselves. They can go to school and experience elation at home posting online, for isntance, and have a life outside of the daily drone of activity. They tend to understand themselves. They can rekindle good things in themselves. I merely wonder what someone who is part indian/Native could do.
